- He argued that the ultimate goal of each photograph is to speak about the photographer. ‘Photography is all about you’ Petersen says ‘it is about your longings, lusts, fears, hidden desires and hopes’.

- For Anders the photographical process is a raw, horrible process in which things are dam serious – according to him it is a matter of life and death. The pictures must come out from the stomach and the photographer should try to be simple and at the same time have the instinct and the attitude of pit-bull. ‘Photography is an instrument which looks like a razor’s blade’ he said.

- He pointed out also that the photographer should show the direction, in terms of never hiding the photographer who he is and what he is doing. ‘You have to feel it and convey your attitude to others. If you are serious the others will respect that. What you are is what you make the others to be. You have to support what you believe and this makes others people respect you

- He emphasized the ability of the photographer to work as hell and at the same time to be open in surprises. For him the best advice he could give to young photographers was to make mistakes and of course to have fun.
